“I envision a country that prioritises its people by improving Public Sector services, addressing social decline, and reforming support for veterans”

Name

Simon Adams

Constituency

North Dorset

My name is Simon Adams, and I aim to serve as the elected Member of Parliament for North Dorset. I come from a family with a strong legacy of service to this country, including my great-grandfather and grandfather who fought in the First and Second World Wars. I am also the son of former police officers and a proud brother. I am fortunate to have a wonderful wife and two compassionate children, who bring me immense pride.

I served in the UK Royal Marines, but unfortunately, a significant injury forced me to leave, resulting in a medical discharge. Despite this setback, I have not allowed it to define me. Instead, I founded a Community Interest Company focused on positively impacting the Veterans' Support Sector and providing aid to vulnerable individuals in society. Additionally, I have gained valuable experience working for large national government contractors, where I have supported numerous individuals in their journey toward a better future.

I have a deep connection to the natural environment, which stems from my upbringing and my time in the Royal Marines. As a result, I am conscientious about minimising the use of printed materials like flyers to reduce waste. I am passionate about safeguarding the planet for future generations and strongly advocate for the elimination of "for-profit pollution" while supporting compensation for communities affected by environmental harm.

Who am I?

Why am I standing?

I am running for office to ensure that the community has a chance to voice their opinions on national policies. Voting for a political party alone will not provide this opportunity. I envision a country that prioritises its people by improving Public Sector services, addressing social decline, and reforming support for veterans. I am also deeply committed to other important areas such as the environment, farming, unemployment, and the cost of living crisis. I firmly believe that we have the ability to bring about change in these areas if we explore alternative solutions and think innovatively.
